You can only flash the drive if it is newer than late 2015 and has the NS50 service code on the drive label. If neither of these are true, then do not flash it.

I've been using ffmpeg to reduce mine.

This script will convert it from HDR to SDR, and make it 1080p, and cropping it to 2.35:1 aspect ratio.. :

I have to do this every system reboot:

Then it will see the drive.

I made the mistake of flashing my Firmware to 1.03 a few years ago. I've found the "LG crossflash NS50_firmware_pack_with_patched_flasher" do I just flash it to 1.02?

I'm running Linux, and I can't seem to get it to run ...

I'm in the same boat. I can't get Linux to flash the Drive either. When I run the exe it sees the drive, but it just stays at 0% flashing.
I tested and it will yell at me that I have a disc in the drive so I don't know why it doesn't start.

Is there anyway we can help them crack AACS 2.0?
Is there something like BOINC we can install on our PC to help them run codes to try and crack it?

I have a 21:9 monitor, and normal blu-rays are only 1920:800 or so, they have to scale up to 2560:1080 for me.

I usually just use ffmpeg to encode my rips to HEVC..

(Gave me a 5.13 GB file)

I just picked the LG WH16NS40 (1.02) BD-XL Drive, and tried to play a few of my UHD Discs. And it won't open any of them. Whats weird is they say there ACCS is 60. And on the front page it says they support 62... So why doesn't it work. Also I can't seem to get it to show anything in the logs so I ...
