Re: Top Gun: Maverick
I had the same problem with my LG non-official UHD drives. Even tried three times with two cleanings. Tried my Pioneer official UHD drive and it worked the first time. I've been ripping DVDs, Blu-Rays and recently 4K UHDs for a few years now, using an Asus BW-16D1HT in an external powered USB 3 encl...

Re: Adding Keys?
It's working :) The ASUS BW-16D1HT drive works great. The $50 I paid for MakeMKV a few years ago was well worth it to say the least. I know most use MakeMKV for free, but everyone should consider registering and paying for MakeMKV. To be honest, the support alone is worthy of more than $50, because ...

Re: Kick-Ass decrypted with DeUHD not ripping in MakeMKV?
Thanks for the in-depth explanation :) Makes total sense. MakeMKV freezes up when trying to process Kick-Ass UHD Blu-ray folder rip. MakeMKV also fails on Warrior (UHD Blu-ray decrypted folder too). Both have a playlist name of 00000.mpls. I'm not sure if the playlist name is of significance, but MK...

Re: Adding Keys?
Ok, I needed an UHD " friendly " drive, and not a real UHD drive. Apparently, this method of using MakeMKV to rip the video will not work with an actual UHD drive. Good news is I have two friendly drives coming from Amazon :) This was verified here: https://club.myce.com/t/blu-ray-volume- ...

Re: Kick-Ass decrypted with DeUHD not ripping in MakeMKV?
This is how I got Kick-Ass and a few other problem 4k disc rips to work with MakeMKV. It appears the tips in this DeUHD thread are useful. One would think DeUHD would do some sort of error correction, but for whatever reason doesn't seem to be doing it. I have backed up brand new blu-rays for years,...

Re: Adding Keys?
I tried that too a few days back. It doesn't decrypt the main playlist. DeUHD downloads and caches over 230MB+ for each disc, so there is obviously a lot more to this then just a few keys. I agree though, it can open the disc with this method, but that is as far as I got. I'm using an older PC with ...

Kick-Ass decrypted with DeUHD not ripping in MakeMKV?
MakeMKV freezes up when trying to process Kick-Ass UHD Blu-ray folder rip. MakeMKV also fails on Warrior (UHD Blu-ray decrypted folder too). Both have a playlist name of 00000.mpls. I'm not sure if the playlist name is of significance, but MKVToolNix multiplexes both decrypted 4k movies just fine. I...

Re: Adding Keys?
When I click the link, it says the FAQ is from March 2010? I am also confused on what extension and name to call the file with the keys. There's a FAQ on this, that Mike just updated... http://makemkv.com/faq/item/12/category/8 I put the Keycfg txt file in the mkv folder. How do we interact with thi...

Re: Independence Day Resurgence deUHD rip fine?
Thanks, this does open the disc, but then I get the errors below. I've attached the file that is dumped. I haven't used this method before, perhaps I am doing something wrong? I downloaded this keydb: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p ... ost1823531 appended keys from the post to it: http://fo...

Independence Day Resurgence deUHD rip fine?
Makemkv cannot read the 00801.m2ts file. I tried multiple rips using deUHD and they all rip successfully. I also tried mkvtoolnix. Can't do a log dump since disc is never opened or I'd provide that. Re: Does MakeMKV still work on hddvd's ?
Thanks for this! Fixed my issue with Aeon Flux, and probably the other HD-DVDs that failed when using BatchMKV.
Az_Rael wrote:I had the same issue. Couldn't even get to the ripping stage on an HDDVD. Downloaded an older copy (1.9.9) and it works now.

Oops, The year is for some movies that might have several versions in the imdb and is for disambiguation. Your windows version. As far as filenames all I need is: movie name (year).mkv The year is for some movies that might have two names. I use KODI, but it's a pretty standard way to do the naming....
