Re: Key exchange failure error
If the key has been revoked for a drive, you aren't going to be able to use it for BDs until a version of MakeMKV that has a key NOT on the revocation list is used. Since MakeMKV has a key that works with AACS v60 (although v61 has been reported "safe" too), that would mean there is a dis...

Key exchange failure error
So something very strange is going on with my computer and I can't figure out why. I have two computers with bluray drives, one of the drives is an "Optiarc BC-5540H 101A" and the other is a "PLDS DH-4B1S". I've used MakeMKV multiple times on the system with the Optiarc drive and...

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc
The problem with AACS is that, if there is an AACS v59 (or later) out there, and it revokes the key used by MakeMKV v1.9.9, then simply putting that disk into the drive while it is powered up will make MakeMKV incapable of accessing that drive for reading BDs, period. But I haven't read about anyon...

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc
IF it is actually AACS that caused this (it may not be), then no, your current drive has been told not to talk to MakeMKV. It will require an update to MakeMKV to use an access key that has NOT been revoked to get it to work with Bluray disks again. That's "BD in general", but there may b...

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc
Alright, I'll attach it tomorrow. Is there any way I can reset MakeMKV so it will work again with other discs?Woodstock wrote:If that's the case, that would be another disk to get the file off of that Mike asked for. Trying to rip it would get MakeMKV to log what the AACS version is.

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc
If you can still use the drive with DVDs, but all BDs fail, it is likely that you have inserted a disk with AACS newer than MakeMKV can deal with at some point. Even if you did not try to rip it (the highest AACS that MakeMKV has seen on your system is 48), it can revoke the MKV key, and make BDs n...

Re: Can't read AACS VID from disc
Do you still have the disc that caused the error? Can you please send the file MKB_RO.inf from this disc (AACS folder) to support@makemkv.com? This had happened before, but at the time I just switched to AnyDVD HD. I had no issues with a few blurays, I got to one (Star Trek 2009, which others have ...

Can't read AACS VID from disc
When I tried to rip a bluray that I own I was thrown this error and now no blurays work, even ones that worked previously. I've tried running as an adminstrator, and I've also reflashed the firmware. MakeMKV v1.9.9 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode Evaluation version, 30 day(s) ...
