I have a 21:9 monitor, and normal blu-rays are only 1920:800 or so, they have to scale up to 2560:1080 for me. First off a 21:9 monitor is 2520:1080, if the vertical dimension is 1080. That is really strange, since the audio is not decoded into baseband raw files (WAV for example) and then recoded. It is impossible to only affect a single channel when copying an audio stream.
