Re: Bluray playback script for VLC/HandBrake/Kodi on Windows
I was wondering if anyone had any success using LIBMMBD.DLL under VLC-Player 3.X to substitute for LIBACCS.DLL and LIBBDPLUS.DLL. While this solution works great under earlier versions of VLC-Player 2.X, it seems that version 3.X doesn't even recognize these DLLs. I'm running his under a Win-32 envi...

Re: UHD Blu-ray
UHD Blu-ray (4K) movies are shipping now and people are starting to get them. A few people on AVS have tested them in BDXL drives and Windows doesn't even recognize it as a readable disc. I intend on testing this as well using my BD drives and was curious if there were any data that would be useful...

Re: Are there any recommendations for BD Drives?
Name brand - Pioneer Off brand Name - LiteOn Have had wonderful results from both over the many years of owning optical devices. Some "name brand" drives are actually LiteOn drives (not the case with Pioneer.) Of my LG experiences, they tend to die over a short period of time after their ...

Make-MKV 1.99 - Title number display
I noticed that when I open a BD with Make-MKV 1.99 and it finishes its content analysis and compiles a list of titles, I can't seem to find what the title number is when I select / highlight a particular title in the disc content tree. I noticed that there's no title number in the INFO pane which di...

Re: Are there any recommendations for BD Drives?
Hello, my current Blu-ray drive seems to have failed. It shows up as BD-ROM in My Computer but when a BD or a DVD is inserted, the BD-ROM changes to CD-ROM and then flickers on and off in My Computer. I cannot access any media on the disks. I've written it off as mechanical failure and since it is ...

Re: External BR player preferences?
Recently had my LG BP50NB40 die on me due to being stepped on by my 6 year old. I'm now getting read errors when burning so I'm assuming the laser is now mechanically damaged. I'm looking to replace but wanted to see what the BR player of choice is. I strictly rip BR's at full res. For an external ...

Re: Make-MKV 1.99 - Loss of BD drive loading status tracking
Do you get the same behavior when running MakeMKV in "single drive" mode? You will have to enable it in preferences. I retested this bug with single drive mode preference enabled, and each time the utility was started, I would select one of the two BD writers on the system. The behaviour ...

Make-MKV 1.99 - Loss of BD drive loading status tracking
I've started to use / test Make-MKV in more depth recently after having installed various previous versions of this utility as a standby toolkit. While the decoding and local streaming capability (to VLC-Player) with BDs that have only AACS and also AACS with BD+ which I have tested with this utilit...

Re: MAKEMKV 1.99 - Windows XP installer failure
Hopefully Mike can track it down from this. This can show up in the 64-bit installs if your MakeMKV directory contains anything other than "stock" files; which was a pain for any of us that put special profiles in the MakeMKV directory. However, some time back (not sure when, Mike didn't ...

Re: MAKEMKV 1.99 - Windows XP installer failure
The specifics related to the reported installer bug in this thread has been found. This bug is confirmed / verified for Win-XP only but may well be present for other Windows versions. Specifically, the installer has a bug whereby IF the installer is pointed to install Make-MKV into a directory that ...

MAKEMKV 1.99 - Windows XP installer failure
When the installing the current MAKEMKV version 1.99 onto a Windows-XP Pro SP3 system, the installer complains that a directory which the user selects (other than the default folder supplied by the installer) to install into, is NOT empty and then refuses to install. When I installed MAKEMKV 1.99. I...
