Wow that's awful. It's a shame that it's a UHD player but Pioneer botched it. I don't know why they did that...I'll take a look at other drives to consider. Did I miss a list of compatible UHD drives for MakeMKV?

My Mac wasn’t reading my Pioneer BDR-XD07UHD and I updated the firmware to 1.05. Now of course I can’t read UHD discs and it’s killing me. Everything I’m reading says I can’t flash the drive. Is this still true? Do I need to sell this one and buy another drive that works with MakeMKV?

I've been previously able to rip UHD discs (Jurassic World: Dominion, Maverick, etc.) but I just went to rip The Fall Guy's extended version in 4K and I just got a message that I haven't previously seen and it won't let me rip it.
