Thanks. I appreciate the theory that there's a bad spot on the disc, but the things that bother me with that theory are: 1) The discs are brand new, and appear undamaged (8 of them). 2) Both part 1 and part 2 of the 7th film have exactly the same problem: the rip succeeds without error if I turn off...

I have some new info. If I turn off all the subtitle tracks, the rip completes without error.
