Re: VERBATIM Ultra HD 4K External Slimline Blu‑ray Writer #:43888
I'm also interested to hear if Verbatim 43888 is now LibreDrive enabled as it seems to be Pioneer drive inside. Apparently that is the case. -- 2) Second, I would like to confirm that LibreDrive is working perfectly on Verbatim 43888 drive (Verbatim Slimline Ultra HD 4K; Pioneer BDR-UD04 drive insi...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021
It might not be an ideal solution, but I managed to crossflash my 5.25" drive externally with the following cabling solution:
Ugreen SATA to USB 3.0 adapter cable + power supply
P/N: 20611
Chipset: ASMedia ASM1153E

Re: What firmware and software do I need to use to flash BRXL-PT6U2VB-EU?
Hello cdemi,
maybe there is a (modified) Bufallo FW by now, which produces the desired result (= UHD blu-ray readability).
However my attempts roughly a year ago, were only fruitful with the modified LG FW.
Good luck!

Most components (incl. their open sources) are already there like: Ripper incl. DST decoder Audio format for Matroska storage Maybe having the SACD ripping ability inside MakeMK, might be one step too astray. :? Putting it into MakeMKA instead, alongside CD-DA, DVD-Audio & Blu-ray Audio ripping ...

Great addition (KEYDB_HD.cfg) for HD DVD decryption
You can manually add keys to MakeMKV to get these things to work http://makemkv.com/faq/item/12/category/8 I put a file called KEYSDB_HD.cfg in my MakeMKV data directory, updated with any missing keys, and I was decrypting and ripping. Happy hunting! Thank you :D , @MetalDave for the hint - this me...

Re: Read SACD
There are a few early SACD releases without encryption, readable by old Toshiba DVD-ROM drives - maybe this could be useful for a possible LibreDrive implementation.
On a somewhat similar note - how about a DVD-Audio ripping ability (not necessarily decryption) for MakeMKV?
