I've been getting Heartland put onto my media server in no particular order... Seasons 1, 2, 7, and 8 plus the Christmas special all had subtitles "seen" by makeMKV. Season 3, however, has subtitles, I can turn them on in PowerDVD... but makeMKV does not see them at all. What am I missing?...

I would say based on what I've been able to read that the second entry is the DTS core and unnecessary if you are taking the MA (master?) track. Assuming that is correct... Until he can attend to the beta code issue, you can try this, it worked for me. Just prior to opening MakeMKV for ripping... Change your system clock date. When done, change the date back.
