Turns out this was caused by Avast 2015, which thinks that MakeMKV.exe is infected with a virus. Can anyone confirm please that this is a known false-positive:

Windows 10 install, no makemkv.exe

I've just done a fresh install of version 1.9.5 on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit). The install process runs without error and puts files into: C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV Here's the list of files it creates: aac-stereo.mmcp.xml default.mmcp.xml flac.mmcp.xml libdriveio.dll libdriveio64.dll libfdk.dll li...
