Re: BP50NB40 NB72 - Unable to flash
Hi, I am pretty new in the game here, so excuse me if this issue come off as a rookie mistake. I have an LG BD50NB40 with SVS code NB72, manufactured in 2023. It seems that I am not able to flash the firmware using SDFtool Flasher. I get the error message 'the drive you have selected does not have ...

Re: Is MKV still free?
The key has been updated to expire at the end of August 2024, not September. Have you installed that key? MakeMKV isn't "free", but there is a free key option that expires after 2 months. And the ripping of Bluray (and above) requires that they key be re-entered after 30 days of use, even...

Is MKV still free?
Tried ripping a Blu-ray and got a message that said evaluation period had expired. I click on HELP tab and it said it was still valid until Sept. '24. Hmm? I went to news & announcements an installed temp key (that says expires in March '24). Didn't help. I totally deleted the program and reinst...

Re: 4th Gen Apple TV HD trouble playing bluray rip
It was transcoding the audio because I was playing a truehd7.1 soundtrack. Changed it to ac3 5.1 AND I had to turn off "auto adjust quality" in the plex app settings. It's direct playing now. Haven't seen any stuttering like I did before so far :) If you don't want to sacrifice your audio...

Re: 4th Gen Apple TV HD trouble playing bluray rip
I wonder then if the troublesome rip is particularly large? Perhaps the network isn't robust enough to deliver the file without a hiccup? I wonder, is your Plex server transcoding the file? The Plex Dashboard should give some insight. If the transcoding process can't keep up, that would cause a hic...

Re: 4th Gen Apple TV HD trouble playing bluray rip
Does your setup Direct Play other files? Plex Direct Play & Direct Stream Are you trying to play the rip from MakeMKV or did you further compress the rip with Handbrake (or whatever your favorite compressing utility is)? The Apple TV will direct play other rips. It's a straight rip. Nothing else.

4th Gen Apple TV HD trouble playing bluray rip
Trying to play this movie directly in the plex app on in the Apple TV I get a stutter in the image every so often. Here's is a pic of what the app says under technical details... App cannot direct play this item. No direct play video profile exists for protocol http, with container mkv, and video co...

How to adjust/enhance audio?
I have an mkv file of an older concert video. I’d like to adjust the audio...mostly the bass. How might I go about this the easiest way. I’m decent with technology though I’m no computer programmer. Lol. Thanks!

I’ve tried ripping 2 different blu ray copies of this film on 2 completely different drives and I get read errors in all cases. Has anyone successfully ripped this?

Re: Rip 3D blu ray to HDD for hardware playback?
Unless your Mac playback software specifically says it does 3D, it will ignore the extra track. As I understand things, the MVC track is a lot like how stereo music is encoded - a main track, and a "left/right differences" track. A non-stereo player will still faithfully replay the "...

Re: Rip 3D blu ray to HDD for hardware playback?
In the left menu after you open the disk, there's a little triangle next to each title. Click it for the main movie, and it will reveal the components of the title. One of them will say "MVC", and it probably will NOT be checked. Check it - that's the track that turns an otherwise 2D movi...

Re: Rip 3D blu ray to HDD for hardware playback?
Did you use "backup" mode, or did you use the "open and save as MKV file" mode? Backup copies the m2ts files to disk, and so the 3D would be intact with no other actions. Saving as an MKV file, though, you normally have to select the MVC track for saving, unless you've updated y...

Rip 3D blu ray to HDD for hardware playback?
I've already backed up my 2D blu Rays with makemkv. I can't seem to get it to work with 3D blu Rays. I will be watching these on an Optoma HD25e through either a Panasonic blu ray player or micca Mplay-hd media streamer http://www.amazon.com/Micca-MPLAY-HD-Fu ... op?ie=UTF8
