Sorry to resurrect a pretty ancient thread, but I'm having the same issues with many of my legitimately owned movies when I back them up to my media server and I'm curious if there is a website or something that is a central repository for the information required to rip watchable copies of my movie...

Upping the retry number increased the chance for success when opening a bluray to something like 25-33% of the time for me, which is loads better than 0%. I can just keep trying and it eventually succeeds, usually within 3-4 tries. Once the disc is opened it seems to rip just fine. Thanks!

Followed a suggestion from another thread and upped the number of retries in Preferences > IO from the default 5 to 10 and am seeing about a 25% success rate on opening BD's, now. *shrug* Better than nothing. Having the same issue and it's still completely broken for me on build 10162. Interesting is that it fails in different ways each time, seemingly... What would be helpful for determining if it's a bug with the OS or the software? I can get screen grabs in addition to logs, if that would add anything...
