My current Libre drives work without any special firmware. So I got to wonder if the game rip software really truly needs a drive flash.
Thanks for the replies, at least it won't break Libre!
I remember when the Playstation originally came out and CDRWIN was the program of choice, was so perplexed ...

Myself + 159 others visiting site. Extreme slowness. I was ready to post about it and, LOL, a thread I opened a couple of years ago is right at the top.

Omnidrive Compatibility ?
Has anyone tried the Omnidrive Firmware and does it remain compatible with Libre Drive?

Most common DVD rip issue is the user forgets to set the region of the drive. Many issues arise from a region 0 drive.

Actually, any time Universal has BD100s produced, there are issues with certain drives.

What exactly are they doing out there in The Scene? They must have a different flash tool because I doubt they are soldering.

Re: The Legend Of Hercules 3D
Just now inserted this disc to rip to my hard drive.
Was wondering why makemkv did not auto-populate this one. I assume there is no Java code on the disc to process?
Nice work on reconstruction of the playlist!

Site is running very slow. Server issues? Site under attack?
No thank you, I don't need a lesson on how hops between me and the destination works. Just asking a simple question.

1.17.6 Slow Rips Pioneer BDR-208
Ever since updating to 1.17.6, not a single time has my Pioneer BDR-208 gone faster than 2.0x on rips.
In the past, sometimes it would randomly do a 2.0x and I would simply eject the disc and restart the process.
Any thoughts on things I should try? This drive is libre capable, is using that mode ...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023
Do you know whether there is any information regarding progress / ETA for making it possible to use Pioneer recorder BDR-X13E-S (and many other Pioneer devices with recently updated firmwares) with firmware 1.03 (not libredrive for now) with MakeMKV for UHDs?
I for one wish there was a time ...
