Re: Beta key expired?
I'm not asking for the price to be reduced. I recognize it's a great program and I could easily see myself paying 60€ for it - if I was using it more frequently. But I'm not. I wouldn't buy a very expensive car either if it was mainly going to rot in my garage and I would only drive it four times a ...

Re: Beta key expired?
Purchasing will help keep this terrific project, and product, going! I agree! However, I also think a purchase is pretty expensive right now for someone who uses MakeMKV just occasionally, even if it is a very high quality program. Today was the first day I've been wanting to use it for about 3 mon...

Re: Suggestion: add subs
Just to be clear: If you say "burn in", you actually mean burned in, always-on-subs, right? Can't disable it? I don't think that's an ideal solution. Then again, who am I to say what you do with your subs ;). On a larger scale: I agree that we should stick to the "one tool for each st...

Re: v1.9.5 crashes on startup: "Fatal error occured, program
Maybe check out this thread, people there had a problem with 1.9.5 too (albeit with Windows 10). Turns out it was related to BitDefender.

Re: What percentage of bluray discs work without any issues?
If you're just talking in very general terms - as in ripping video, audio and subtitle files from a BD - it's probably a very reliable tool. I have processed about 40 BDs this year and did not have any issues with any of them that were caused by the program itself. I did run into trouble because of ...

Yup, looks good. Now we have to wait for ndjamena to do something with this information .

Re: Strange problem with some rips
Pretty sure he's referring to the tool MediaInfo, you can get it at http://sourceforge.net/projects/mediainfo. It puts out a huge amount of information about video files.

Re: New to this, need advice on storage and cropping, etc
I didn't count Avisynth as a serious option because of OP's time constraints. Fixing filters for "3000 discs from 1500 releases", even if it's not all of them, is probably a major pain . Unless lots of them respond positively to the same settings, but only OP will know that...

Re: New to this, need advice on storage and cropping, etc
Well... What exactly is your question? That last paragraph didn't really contain any, I think. Least amount of space used while maintaining highest visual fidelity in the least amount of time is MakeMKV -> Handbrake.

Re: Windows 10 Crashing 1.9.5
Using Windows 10 x64 10240 and MakeMKV 1.9.5 here, no problems at all with DVDs or BDs. I don't use any antivirus software (and never have for the last 20 years) except the built-in Windows Defender thing. I do not have to start it in admin mode either. So, judging by this thread, the solution is ea...

Re: How do I watch the saved video?
I have no clue what the past couple of posts are about. It's like reading words that don't connect in a coherent way and have nothing to do with the original question in this thread. Might as well post a manual on how to operate a bicycle.

Re: How do I watch the saved video?
The problem is that those custom codec packs often carry ridiculous names, so an actual "Evil Codec Pack" wouldn't be too farfetched .
