Re: Thumbnails
You make a good case for not having thumbnails, I appreciate your advice.

Thumbnails
When I view avi's or mp4's in explorer I see a thumbnail from the movie as the icon for the file. With matroska mkv this doesn't seem to be the case. Instead I get a black circle with a black arrow head inside.
Is it possible to get a thumbnail from the movie itself instead of this circle?

Re: Saving a DVD whole
Thinking about it, what you say makes sense. Apart from Handbrake, which I've tried to get to work a few times and it doesn't for me.
Anyway, thanks for your time.

Can't copy DVD
So, this is what I was talking about elsewhere. Read the disc fine, it plays fine, it's copied successfully using Freemake, yet MakeMKV won't play with it. Here's the debug info, does anyone know what's wrong? MakeMKV v1.9.4 win(x64-release) started Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as C:\Use...

Re: MIB II wont read
I am getting this randomly. I've ripped 350 dvd's so far, but every once in a while makemkv will say no disk inserted, or more regularly, it simply fails to read the disk after a half hour of trying. It's actually doing it as I type this with Salt. each time it fails I use Freemake video converter w...

Re: Saving a DVD whole
No I don't want a DVD rip like that with menus and features etc. All I want is sometimes there's interviews and outtakes, and it'd be nice to have them in the same file. No biggy, would just prefer it if I could.

Re: Saving a DVD whole
So I'd rip all the files from the DVD, then merge them into one mkv file?
Thanks I'll give that a go

Re: Naming a file
Ahhh gotcha...You need to ensure the top most line is selected. Excellent thanks very much.
Now, when you do that MKV forces both underscores in place of spaces, and also puts t00 at the end of the file name. No idea why but is there a way to change that too?

Re: Saving a DVD whole
No I don't want an iso file. What I mean is there is a movie on the dvd and sometimes there are outtakes, or actor and director commentaries, and it would be nice to be able to save these as an integral part of the file.

Saving a DVD whole
When I save a DVD it saves all the files separately as individual mkv files. Is there a way to save the entire disc into one mkv file?

Re: Naming a file
Hi Yeah I have that pull down. Here's a screenshot of a DVD in it. http://www.thelastgreatadventure.com/stuff/1.jpg Here's what happens when I choose it http://www.thelastgreatadventure.com/stuff/2.jpg http://www.thelastgreatadventure.com/stuff/3.jpg And here's Makemkv simply choosing what it wants ...

Yeah I've got expert mode on. But I can't see anywhere you can set the title for the exported file

Naming a file
When I copy a DVD I always enter the name of the DVD in the title box if it is not already there. However every single time Makemkv insists on naming the file title00.mkv
Is there any way to override this and if not, can this be added to the next release please. It's so infuriating.
