Why should it be updated? Still four days of March to go and the thread says "and is valid until end of March 2023."

Sometimes it takes a few days longer.
I’ll be honest, I think I’m panicking a bit.

Re: Flashing firmware on a Mac for LibreDrive

You have a Pioneer drive that doesn't need to be flashed! the mentioned procedure is only necessary for LG type drives. All you need to do is install the newest version of Makemkv 1.17.3 and to rip UHDs you have to allow internet access for Makemkv. That's it. Sdf.bin is part of the Makemkv package...

The Key

I notice the Beta Key — the one that lets us use MakeMKV for free, whilst it’s in Beta — hasn’t been updated. But that my copy of MakeMKV 1.17.3 seems to be working well enough: despite being three days past the expiry date, when it usually would be asking me to feed in the key. Is anything happenin...

Re: Flashing firmware on a Mac for LibreDrive

I had some 'fun' figuring this out, this might be helpful for other Mac users to allow LibreDrive to work with the drive. I actually did it because the Region had not been set on the drive (It came with ZERO software) and some of the other software I was using was complaining that the region was no...

Re: MacOS Ventura No Longer Reading Disc's

I had the same issue: my Pioneer drive didn’t show up under macOS 13.2: but does, under macOS 13.2.1

Re: Archgon UHD drive/BDR-UD04

Right … I’ve JUST updated to macOS 13.2.1: which seems to have fixed the issue.

Re: MacOS Ventura No Longer Reading Disc's

I’m having the same issue: I have an Archgon-branded* UHD blu-ray drive — that was showing up in the System Profiler — until I updated to Ventura 13.2. And now seems to be non-functional: except, of course, it works perfectly well in my aging MacPro running Lion https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewt...

Archgon UHD drive/BDR-UD04

I’ve an Archgon blu-ray burner drive, that was — until recently — showing up on my Mac: 21” Intel iMac running macOS. It was connected over Thunderbolt 3. I even managed to rip some blurays with it, recently. Today, when I try and burn a Ubuntu OS disc to a blank DVD — with Burn.app — the app can’t ...

DASPI

I’ve tried installing the latest version of DASPI package: on an intel iMac running Ventura 13.1

Apparently, this package is incompatible with the current version of macOS.

Is an updated version being worked on … ?

Re: Flashing firmware on a Mac for LibreDrive

Would flashing my blu-ray drive enable it to read 4k blu-rays? We will try to use our psychic powers to determine. However, if you would post a Makemkv status from the GUI even people without those could answer your question and give recommendations. 8) Right, I’ve got a Pioneer BDR-UD04: one that ...

Time Machine and MakeMKV

My main machine is a first generation Mac Pro — model 1,1 — with at least two extra internal drives. A 1 TB one that I store media files on, and a 640 gigabyte one that I use as backup: I’ve a 250 gigabyte main drive, so the 640 drive is usually big enough. However, using MakeMKV to rip blu-rays see...
