Buying a refurbished Windows machine, and putting Make MKV on it would be simpler.

As would waiting a few days!

I’ve just upgraded to macOS Sequoia 15.4: only to find I’m getting ‘Fatal Errors’.

I appreciate that MakeMKV will need updating to get around this.

Wash the disc with warm water and liquid soap. Would that work? Should it be needed? The disc is *literally* fresh out of the package. Try it. New discs very often have a film on it that is invisible but makes them hard to read. I pretty much wash all UHD discs before I rip them. OK, Cheers, Cooper...

You have a Pioneer drive that doesn't need to be flashed! the mentioned procedure is only necessary for LG type drives. All you need to do is install the newest version of Makemkv 1.17.3 and to rip UHDs you have to allow internet access for Makemkv. That's it. Sdf.bin is part of the Makemkv package...
