Thank you woodstock for you help. yes I unplugged the Player and powered it down, waited then powered it back up and plunged the usb3 cable back up to the computer. tested all the blu-rays i was having issues with and they all worked. hopefully this helps someone else in the future.

Yes Dvd still works only blu rays have issues

I am using makemkv 1.9.2 and i still can't decrypted a 2007 blu ray using aacs v3. can anyone help. fyi i am on a 2015 iMac and using a Asus blu ray player.
