I get the same error after building on Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit. the console application works.

I have the same problem with the gui version. The console version is working for me. makemkvcon

I'm having the same error on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit. The console version works as expected.

The GUI version is not running for me on Ubuntu 14.04. I get an 'application failed to initialize' error.
I'm only able to use the console version. when I run `makemkvcon info` i see the following results. I assume I want Audio track 1 only.
Total 4 titles

0 Video Mpeg2
1 Audio Dolby ...

makemkvcon - Can I discard subtitles and other languages?
I used the windows gui version was able to deselect unneeded languages and subtitles.
On Ubuntu 14.04 makemkv shows a popup message that it failed to initialize. I used a configure switch --prefix=/usr/local when compiling.
I prefer to use command line anyway. How can I discard the extra languages ...
