Re: True HD
Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I tried with just True HD. Worked fine with WDTV but no sound with vlc media player. I will make sure to tick the sub track

True HD
When selecting True HD do I need to select the sub track DD surround or does that just increase the size of the file?
I'd rather just select True HD if it's possible and doesn't affect the audio
I'm using WDTV for playback and I believe it supports most audio and video codecs
Thanks

Re: X-Files complete collection - likely a buffering problem
Rule of thumb is half-hour shows (22-24 total minutes) will be around 5GB, 10GB for hour shows, as preserve mentions. I was impressed with X-Files. They even went to an extra Blu-ray disc for Season 2 - 7 discs instead of 6 for every other season - because Season 2 with 25 episodes is longer than a...

Rule of thumb is half-hour shows (22-24 total minutes) will be around 5GB, 10GB for hour shows, as preserve mentions. Depending upon the type of video, you can compress that further with tools like handbrake. For me, anime episodes start out at 4.5-5.5GB (24 minutes or so), but compress to 1.0-1.5G...

Re: MakeMKV sometimes makes two main movies identical in siz
Ok, so I got a handle on everything and with the assistance of a bluray player I can now find the right version. but I have now encountered a major problem with The Last Stand. 93 files of approximately 31GB show up. It would take weeks to rip all of them and find the right one. One is listed as the...

Re: MakeMKV sometimes makes two main movies identical in siz
ndjamena, you're right, it does have a special title. The terminator 3 bluray disc has the option of watching the movie with a picture in picture of the making of the movie. I guess that's the one makemkv can't pick up.

Re: MakeMKV sometimes makes two main movies identical in siz
Thanks for the info guys. I'm starting to get the hang of it. Popped in terminator 3 for a rip and again 3 movies the same came up but I noticed one had 64 chapters, one 18 and one didn't have any chapters. Two of them had 3 different English audio tracks and the third had two different audio tracks...

MakeMKV sometimes makes two main movies identical in size
Hi, I'm new to make makemkv but I'm really enjoying this software. It has never failed ripping a Bluray for me but I have encountered a slight problem on a couple of films. Using makemkv for both The terminator and Blade resulted in me having two main movie files that are identical in size and lengt...
