Tried upgrading 1.9.7 to 1.9.10 (compiled with ffmpeg 3.0.2). Getting this message when starting the gui. I don't use the console so I can only say that the usage message displays without error. I just rebuilt, this time using ffmpeg 2.7.3. Still getting "Application failed to initialize"...

Having this same problem with Ultimatum. Disc is 2 layers. Used two different drives on two different machines, one Ubuntu 14.04 and one Windows 10. MakeMKV 1.9.7 on both systems. Both drives have worked successfully on several other Blu-Rays as well as many DVDs.

Resolved by installing package libfdk-aac-dev. Took a while to figure this out, since it was not necessary the first time around. Evidently this package had already been installed as a dependency by something else I had done. After a fresh install of Kodibuntu, with less experimentation in the proce...

When using ./configure with options including --enable-libfdk-aac as directed in instructions, it fails, complaining that libfdk_aac is missing. The option and the file are still included in the configure script, but missing from the directory tree. I built successfully a few weeks ago with whatever...
