Re: Quite new BH16NS55 died -- anything I can do?

Thanks for your help.

It's definitely the drive. It starts blinking without a disk when the computer is started and would even stop the booting process. Unfortunately, also disconnecting the power for a while did not help.

Quite new BH16NS55 died -- anything I can do?

My quite new LG BH16NS55 just died, I think. I had it for just one month. I was inserting a bluray and it could not read it so I ejected it and tried again. Maybe there were some unusual noises, anyway failure again. From this time on, whenever I insert a disk, the drive is just blinking regularly, ...

Re: UHD - Spider-Man Homecoming - Correct playlist

I found only 00010.mpls to have a reasonable amount of chapters, 00020.mpls has way too many, 00001.m2ts none. Check if you find something similar in your local version as well.

Re: Forced subtitles in several languages

Thank you for your input. I think selecting respective subtitle tracks is not an issue with mkv, it's an issue of the player basing the selection on the mkv metadata. In fact, the Matroska specifications say that when there are multiple "forced" tracks, the player should decide on the lang...

Forced subtitles in several languages

I want to create mkvs as "tidy" as possible, optionally after a mkvtoolnix run. Here, I am struggling most with the setting of the "default" and "forced" parameters of subtitles, in particular when including several audio tracks of different languages. If in doubt, I am...

Which media player with 3d mkv support

Which media player do you recommend? Basically, it should play any mkv including 3d by makemkv from a NAS. For example, I found Fantec and Mede8er device, which, however, seem to be quite old and I found criticism for every device. I do not need any fancy stuff, just mkv (with 3d) played fluently fr...
