You can manually assemble several .mkv files (e.g., some deleted scenes) into 1 using mkvMerge/MmkvToolNix. I do this frequently.

Let' say Fury was on 2 discs and this was 17:45 into disc 2. If I merge this with disc 1, will the above subtitle show at 17:45 into disc 1 or disc 2? Since you have 5.1 (and I assume your receiver handles DTS) then just select the 5.1 audio. If by chance you mux in the 7.1 audio how it will play back depends on your receiver.

Thanks for your reply. These are brand new DVDs. It is curious that the same type of problem appears to exist on all three discs. There were other reports of a similar problem by others. I made an attempt to provide more information than they did.
