It does look like this is a permanent bug in this program.

Thanks for the reply Woodstock. Sadly it's not that. Hopefully attached the log file which may help, but broadly, exactly the same... :-/ FWIW, i've tried the solution posted here, to no avail: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7370#p30969 The debug listing is bradly meaningless ...
