Disable LibreDrive until my drive is actually supported
I have TSSTcorp SE-506CB, firmware vision 05.28. Since 1.14.2 I can't rip anything anymore. I get this error message now Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:LOGICAL UNIT HAS NOT SELF-CONFIGURED YET Even on a disc I ripped the day before updating from 1.14.1 to 1.14.2. Sealab 2021 Season 4 Disc 2 extras
Am using v 1.14.1 on Mac OS 10.13.6. I'm able to watch all the content on the disc using the same drive and the Apple's DVD Player app, so I think the disc itself is good. The scanning takes notably longer on this one disc than any of the other discs from this show (like >20 minutes). I'm able to ri...

What encoding do you need to do? I have a Roku 2 XS and haven't had to do any re-encoding with my BD -> MKV rips. It doesn't decode or pass-thru DTS-HDMA, but the disc has the DTS-HD so I just rip that rather then encoding from DTS-HDMA.

Re: Device not found
The extra load during decryption makes sense, hadn't considered that. Will check out a powered hub. Thanks.

Re: Device not found
Thanks for the tip, would not have considered that. I was able to test the drive out on a Mac Mini where it seems to work fine, and a laptop running Ubuntu 14.10 where it again runs fine. Also in the same Windows machine (a Surface Pro 3 where I've successfully used a Seagate Backup portable USB3 wh...

Device not found
I have a Samsung SE-506CB that is working ok with MakeMKV on Mac, but on Windows (8.1) I'm having a lot of problems. First, whenever I insert an encrypted BD/DVD, the drive seems to disconnect and reconnect continuously, and in the event that it stays mapped/mounted, MakeMKV will fail to scan the di...
