I'm not sure why I was seeing this... I've got a little tower I built with the 4 disc drives. There's some SATA to usb converter in there, but I don't remember which one. After a few restarts, pulling the power on the tower, and totally power cycling my pc the issue seems to have gone away...

Open mkv, put a disc in (any of the drives) and MakeMKV see the disc and tries to start to open it, but it just gets stuck on loading. The lights on the disctray stop right away. I never get to the point where i can click to have MakeMKV load the tracks.

Any idea what could be causing these errors? These are new to my system. I did update to omni drive not that long ago (maybe a month ago), but i started to get this over the weekend.

I'm having similar issues with windows 11 and makemkv v1.17.4. Windows sees the disc:

MakeMKV looks like it's trying to open the disc, but the activity lights on the disc tray are ...

Just ordered and everything went GREAT! I got two drives very quickly and both worked with out issue. Finally got this beast working

Yup.... I definitely put the wrong drives in my new server. This is what I get for keeping a bunch of old drives around. I swapped the drives with the ones what were actually in my old PC and everything is working.

You might have a bad disc. I was having this issue, with the same disc. Got my replacement from amazon and the new disc decrypted fine.

For problem discs, backing them up, and then riping from the back up is working for me. Not sure who suggested this first, but it's working! Oddly enough one disc S4D3 will not decrypt.


What did you use to create the backup? I wonder if you can back up a disc 1:1 to an .iso file then run ...

just out of curiosity, as i'm not trying to go against any rules or get myself banned or anything, but saying we all own the same disks but have a couple episodes from certain disks that won't backup for whatever reason. is it kosher to work out some trades among people that may have gotten a ...
