I am having this very same issue. I don't think it is due to my architecture. I'm running ubuntu 14.10 on an AMD A10-7850 so it should easily be able to handle this. My drive is an LG-BE14 over usb 3.0. Anything I try to stream constantly has to buffer. I've tried enabling --directio=true and playin...
