well, now the program refuses to open after one successful DVDcopy.

And it happened again.

The program does not open.

After just one DVDcopy and shutting down the program I get the same fail-info-box: MakeMKV BETA popup: Application failed to initialize


Whats going on here ??

I am using MakeMKV v1.8.12

it says Functionality to open DVD discs is free and will always stay free on the front page of MakeMKV. so, why is this program expiring (from the programs top bar: This version expires: Sun Oct12 2014)? I thought that if you want to rip blurays you have to buy the license (after trialtime), but DVD...

I installed an older version MakeMKV v1.8.12 win(x86-release)

I downloaded and installed the MakeMKV yesterday, copied one DVDmovie successfully to my harddrive and closed the program. And now, for some reason, I cant open the MakeMKV program. I downloaded&installed the program today and converted one DVD to .mkv and the file works fine. Then I shut down the program, and now I cant start it again. I get this fail-info-box: http://kuvapilvi.fi/k/yWMo.jpg Whats happening here? Why did the program suddenly just stop working? /Pertti
