Re: 4K Avengers Endgame error
Is it normal for a 4K disc to fail and then some time in the future the disc will finally copy? I needed to rip 2 discs because I had a drive that was failing and decided to try Endgame again and this time it copied with no problems at all. I just have Guardians of the galaxy 2, Star Wars Last Jedi,...

hahaha I told you it was a stupid question. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask on here and have my worries put to rest. Thanks

Does a type of HDD make a difference for 4K movies?
So I was reading on another forum where someone was ripping their 4K movies to a WD red 6TB dive which is the exact same I have. Another person brought up a concern that the 5400rpm speed of the drive would be too slow and maybe cause buffering. I've owned 3 for around 4 years and Blu-ray's play jus...

How can I make clips from a MKV?
So I was watching a video where the guy takes about ripping his movies and how he also has a collection of favorite parts of movies that he shows off to friends when he wants to demo his system. Has anyone on here done something like that? If so what system do you use? It looked like a really cool i...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
So I tried flashing other drives to my WH16NS40 and The Last Jedi loaded and started coping until 2 seconds left and failed. At this point I say I have bad copies of Endgame, TLJ, Guarians of the Galaxy vol.2, and Kingsmen. Hey at least it's only a small number out of the 30+ 4K movies I have.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
I've always been hesitant of buying from Amazon for this very reason. Thankfully my local Micro Center, the only store in my area that sells friendly drives, had the last WH16NS40 in stock. They have other Asus drives but who knows if exchanging them would be worth it. At this point I feel that if t...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
Same way my old drive was hooked up. I unhooked my original and plugged in the new drive using that same sata cables and power cables. I'm not using a usb adaptor like what was posted in the first post.
This happened also with the Asus drive the other day.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
No I'm saying both the LG and Asus have a high chance of being defective but more so the Asus Any single drive should read all disks You should not need two drives to read disks if one read one and the other doesn't in my book that drive is defective and would get exchanged Ah got it. So got A Quie...

Re: 4K Avengers Endgame error
UPDATE: Here is what the Log looks like from start up to failure after I did a trial with just Endgame.
I did get A Quiet place to work but Guardians 2 and Kingsmen 1 fail. And Last Jedi doesn't even load. It spins and then says no disc found.

Re: Slow converting
I have an internal drive that can take over an hour sometimes. So I wouldn't be surprised about an external drive taking awhile.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
So I know have the LG WH16NS40 SVC:NS50. I noticed in the firmware pack there is an option for another FW called WH16NS40-NS50. What does that one do? Should I just stick with the regular one that the Asus flasher has listed for my model?

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019
I bought the Asus BW-16D1HT and have been able to rip all but 5 of my 4K movies. Endgame doesn't load and A Quiet Place gets an error part way through and fails. The question is, Do I go back to my local store and exchange for a new Asus drive since they only allow exchanges for the same product? Or...
