Re: LG BH16NS5 with Asus Firmware
I bought an older Blu-ray drive, the “LG BH16NS55” However, in the “Drive Info” window, it’s listed as “Asus BW-16D1HT 3.02” and “LibreDrive Enabled.” So it looks like the previous owner modified the firmware. Now I have several options and am not sure what to do: 1. Leave it as is (UHD ripping wor...

Re: Buffalo Drive
we already knew what drive was in it you recover it the same way in or out of the case you will have to use cli and add nocheck to the command to ignore the tray being opened Why don't you write a cli cookbook for him? https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=23023&p=95457&h...

OK. Thank you: Billycar1 I will upload some photos of the new HUB and Blu-ray drives. If you are willing, at an appropriate time, you can teach me how to flash the firmware. Of course, I understand that this will take up your valuable time. I am willing to pay for it because I have many similar dri...

Re: Start updating the firmware from scratch. Requesting assistance. Thank you.
there not really much fw development going on for CD drives
and from what i can see they are very old from 1999
so theirs really not much flashing to do to those
for modern UHD drives see the guide below

Re: Burning M-Disc DVD's with Pioneer BDR-209MBK?
your drive is a 212 for some reason asus rebranded it as a 209 When I opened the enclosure, it clearly had it labelled as BDR-209MBK, MFD. September 2024. Are you saying that it uses the exact same hardware/firmware as a BDR-212, but is labelled as 209? Do you know this because of the platform modu...

your drive is a 212
for some reason asus rebranded it as a 209
it likely does support the dvd m disc but if you want to be 100% sure we can flash your drive to a s12 and it will also do 4K UHD discs then if you want it to
