Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. Could you please post the link to the YouTube tutorial you used for flashing the firmware on the Verbatim drive?
I’m looking for a step-by-step guide for this specific drive, as the firmware flashing process can be a bit confusing and I’d rather follow a ...

Thank you.
I will post the complete MakeMKV drive information in plain text.
Regarding the enclosure, it is currently installed in an ODP95-SU3 USB enclosure. I will try the drive with one of the recommended adapters from the UHD guide and report back.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
Hello guys,
i just bought BU40N from Ebay, manufactured June 2019. I replaced the DVD writer in my 2016 notebook (Windows 10, https://www.notebookcheck.com/Medion-Akoya-E6432-MD99970.190620.0.html) with the BU40N and installed MakeMKV. It showed me the following information:

Re: Pioneer Flashing Needed
Hello All! My LG BP60NB10 just died after three years of faithful service, and after pouring over the forums I (somewhat hastily) pulled the trigger on a bundle of Pioneer drives that had good prices. Hoping I got lucky and not swindled.
I was hoping to get some flashing help. The models are as ...

Re: Recommendations for new blu-ray drives?
Bought a buffalo off Office Depot, it seemed to come from them directly. Just thinking here but is there a chance it could be cross flashed to 4k, just depends on the drive that’s inside? I got a BDR-212V based on your recommendation last year and have been using it for Blu-ray, works great ...

No, firmware has absolutely nothing to do with problems reading discs. Try cleaning the lasers.

Re: Do I need to flash my BDR-XD05
Just started to use MakeMKV after getting a bucket load of DVD, Bluray and UHDs. I was looking at getting my drives setup to dual load discs. The BDR-XD05 has a newer firmware which seems to be a issue related to being newer. My BDR-X13 drive seems to be "Possible" but not enabled. Is this drive ...
