Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
I did what I thought was a flawless downgrade to a clean v1.02 firm for an LG LH14NS40 (SC50) drive. No errors with dosFlash. However, now the drive does not regocnize any disk. MakeMKV sees the drive properly, with 1.02 firm as well. It animates when you remove a disk... but, no regognition of a d...

Re: Recommended drives (2019)
I'm pretty technical (software engineer) but this is outside my realm of expertise. I had not heard about the 'sleep bug' etc. It sounds like pre-configured drives may be the easiest approach if they are available. Is that the case with the WH14NS40? (I'm not sure what SVC NS50 ONLY means either......

Re: UHD support
1.(First stupid question: Was I supposed to select the " Decrypt video files " option? I was trying to do a bit-copy of the disc just to test it out first.) 2.I got a few ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - AUTHENTICATION FAILURE messages at the start, before ripping to...

Re: BU40n differences?
Is any LibreDrive information available for it? If yes, please post everything (except the serial number) and I'll tell you what you have. If no LibreDrive info on main screen, then do the following: With version 1.14.3 (important!) open any BD disc. Quit MakeMKV, look at log file. You will see the...

Re: Used discs worth it?
I just got a new drive. Asus BW-16D1HT. Flashed it and ripped my first disc (spider man home coming). Went to rip a second disc (The Revenant) and kept getting readerrors, tried all the things I found in the forum and finally set up a return with Amazon. The 1080p disc ripped fine. That got me thin...

Thanks in advance for any help. Flash to WH16NS60 1.00 But please use the new way, Here: https://www.make...

Re: Questions about my Pioneer BDR-211 drive
I got this drive because it was UHD-capable. Now, I've discovered that it is locked out at a firmware level from ripping UHD discs which is pretty BS for a $100+ device. How can I get it to rip these discs? I Googled a bunch and found DVRTool, heard about LibreDisc, ect. None of these are working f...

Re: LibreDrive for LG WH16NS60 and other UHD Friendly Drives
I would, if it wasn't such a pain and a risk. Last time I tried doing it with the WH16NS40 and I basically broke it. me and other members of the community have made it much easier there is no need for the data mover tool and dumps of original firmware anymore check out these links, https://www.make...
