Re: Best backup options?
Thank you for your help. I would have thought Kodi wouldn't do that, but before I started using MakeMKV and it was XMBC and it did do the warning, I thought it weird then, but maybe I used Arcsoft more often then and that is what I am think. I also was trying to use Windows Media Center then and tha...

Re: Best backup options?
I haven't had problems with any movie I can think of, just was told I had to use AnyDvd to keep the encryption intact and not get the Cinavia warning, also to keep the lossless audio. I used to use Arcsoft and Kodi, now mostly Kodi, both would give me the warning, and would still give me the warning...

Best backup options?
I am trying to figure out the best route I need to go with. I have always used AnyDVD to make backups of my movies. I wanted full copies, that way I can keep my lossless audio; since I have a full theater setup, and at anytime I can make converted copies to add to mobile or other devices that doesn'...

Re: Hacksaw Ridge
You will only get that notification if the disk has playlist obfuscation AND MakeMKV detects and can use the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) from java.com. I have the JRE installed, it even looks for the JRE before it will even analyze the .iso Are you using the original BD disc or an .iso file? If ...

Re: Manchester By The Sea
I was told to download the latest version of MKV before I could put in Manchester by the Sea. I found the correct things to record but there was nowhere to put the sound in. All that came up were the chapters and size. So now I have the complete Manchester by the Sea movie but with no sound. Thanks...

Re: Hacksaw Ridge
Any clue on the Redbox Version? I am a little confused why you would ask. Not trying to be negative, but at least for me, MakeMKV tells me which one is the feature film in the most current version with this title. So what am I missing. I am running the current version, but I have never seen anythin...

Re: Mac vs Pc
Yes I have 100's of iso that are taking up a lot of space. Also the more convenient format was a side affect of this. I can watch them from other devices instead of just my home XBMC.

Re: Mac vs Pc
How is the drive shared, using Windows networking (SMB), or something else? Performance of Macs when talking to SMB networks sucks. They do much better if working with other network protocols. You can find better network stacks out there that will improve performance. If the drive is shared from a ...

Re: Mac vs Pc
The optical drive doesn't apply here. They are all ISO files stored on a share drive, and I am testing to the same share drive.

Mac vs Pc
Have noticed that when I run the same movie through MakeMKV on my Mac and on my PC I get drastic time difference. The Mac will take over an hour to process the movie and the PC will take 15 to 25 minutes to process the same movie. My Mac is a new computer, it is a Mac Pro and most definitely the mor...
