It would be nice if it was possible to limit the ripping speed. My laptop vibrates a lot when it gets above 4 MB/s in ripping speed..

The media file is damaged /the disc is. You dont need to be able to see that it is damaged.

The disc is damaged / unreadable.. A fix that might work is to wash the disc with soap.. Not to hot water but either cold. Can you then insert a dvd with data and run the data from the dvd? While makemkv cant see/use the dvd?

First of all MakeMKV isnt the problem. If Windows cant see the disc then im pretty sure the issue is the bluray drive or Windows. I use Linux Ubuntu, so my big advice is to put the bluray drive in another pc and see if it works. If not and theres RMA or guarantee on it then use that.. Just be aware ...
