long as you players are set to bit stream the audio and not decode it most players out of the box want to decode it so you dont want that yuo may have some settings to change and some research to do it usually does not just work even if every thing supports it My player is: Media Player Classic - H...

You say you get HDR (HDR10) which is 10bpc. Dolby Vision is 12bpc. You output your uhd mkv file from your video card HDMI port?
