I don't think it's a problem with the OP's drive, I'm having the same problem.
I also have two BluRay drives on my PC. One is ASUS, one it LG. MakeMKV doesn't recognize this disc in either drive.
Also, disc is brand new, has never been used before.

Re: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
The weirdest thing is that ever since trying to decrypt Smaug, I can no longer decrypt anything else. Other discs with older AACS versions won't decrypt. Restarting MakeMKV doesn't help. Power-cycling my BD drive didn't help. Any other BD I try to decrypt (since attempting Smaug) now provides a SCSI...

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
No luck on this US Retail BD + DVD + Ultraviolet package. Anyone have luck with this one? I did click the link in the log ... So maybe it's just a matter of patience? :) I can do that. Just in case, here's the smaug log (that rhymes) Using direct disc access mode This disc uses newer version of AACS...

Re: Ender's Game Bluray
I mapped the segments manually for the US retail blu-ray edition (DVD + BD + Ultraviolet) and for me it was 821.
My map was: 513 501 504 510 505 502 514 507 511 508 509 503 506 515 512
HTH.

Re: Determining correct title on BD with MULTIPLE titles
I don't have a "backup" option. The backup button is on the toolbar, but greyed out. No backup option in the textual menu either.
I am not trying to hijack this thread, and I'll search elsewhere on why my backup button is greyed out, but I'm bummed I can't use this process...
