Cannot open DVD 1.16.7
v1.16.7 A Siggraph DVD from 2011. (A computer animation festival, not anything that was ever sold or marketed) Unable to open disc. VLC plays all titles just fine. Handbrake can copy the titles over, but each one has massive distortion, pixelation, lines through it like the old fashioned rabbit ear ...

This is the host that Makemkv was trying to reach. I have allowed it, and updated my software. SDF download is successful.
Video still will not rip, however.

MakeMKV turns my computer into a 286

When MakeMKV is ripping a title, particularly when using the BD-ROM drive (but also with the DVD-ROM on SATA), the entire system slows to a crawl. Task manager show...

Re: Bulk compress/convert?
I appreciate the reply. The wireless is doing OK for now, two clients can stream at the same time with no issues. All other clients will be wired, so that shouldn't be a huge problem. The HTPC hardware will be capable of doing its own transcoding, so minimal CPU use will be used. I'd love to save a ...

Bulk compress/convert?
Hello to all. After successfully using makemkv to rip a few dozen of my favorite blurays, they are now tucked out of the way in a box in the garage. Available on my media server for the family to enjoy. Problem is a few devices like iPads. I am using Plex Media Server to transcode for the devices th...

Subtitles?
I am confused about subtitles. If I select subtitles, they are all displayed (as in for the hearing impaired). But I only want to see subtitles for non-English parts of movies. I think I understand what forced options are for subtitles, but do I select all subtitles, forced subtitles, one or the oth...
