Re: Copy Protection Key Exchange Failure
Leonoportman, unfortunately, I am already using the latest version of MakeMKV (version 1.8.11). Although we received similar error messages, it appears that your error messages were caused by using an older version of MakeMKV that was not capable of decrypting the highest AACS version of any disc in...

Re: MakeMKV on Linux
I am not very knowledgeable about software, but will try to describe things as accurately as I can. According to a post elsewhere ( http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7370&start=15#p31120 ), openssl versions including and after 1.0.1e-28 cannot be used to build a working makem...

Re: Copy Protection Key Exchange Failure
Woodstock, the highgest AACS version that my drive has been exposed to is version 43, so do not think that is the issue. I have pasted a debugging log below which includes the copy protection key exchange failure errors that I see when trying to access any Blu-ray disc using MakeMKV. Debug log start...

Re: MakeMKV on Linux
My drive is a Sony Optiarc BD-5730S -V3. The drive is contained in an external enclosure. The enclosure is labelled only as "ODP1201." The enclosure supports USB 3.0 and is connected using a USB 3.0-capable cable, but my computer only has USB 2.0 ports, so that is what I am using to connec...

gellis, I found this topic today and now realize that we have the same problem. For others viewing this topic, the same problem gellis is having has been discussed previously in relation to Fedora at http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7370 . I later reported the problem at http://...

Re: AACS errors on Fedora FC 19 X64
I appear to be having the same problem described in this topic, but while using Ubuntu 14.04 and MakeMKV 1.8.11. Another user, gellis, reported the problem in relation to Ubuntu at http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7930 . As gellis did, I too tried the configuration suggestions m...

Re: Copy Protection Key Exchange Failure
It appears that the problem is related to how MakeMKV sends decryption keys to my drive in Ubuntu 14.04 (and 13.10). Maybe that is what "key exchange failure" means. I have described the things I tried and given my conclusions below, in detail. For those who don't know, libaacs requires th...

Re: Copy Protection Key Exchange Failure
Thank you for your reply. I do get the same error messages for all Blu-ray discs, even a disc (Eyes Wide Shut) that I was previously able to decrypt successfully. Also, when I did successfully decrypt Eyes Wide Shut earlier, I was not yet using MakeMKV (just libaacs for decryption). Thus far, I have...
