Re: Compilation fails on Debian/Sid
Nice work. I cannot tell if it's just an hack or workaround, but it solves my compilation problems and makemkv starts. Many many thanks.

Compilation fails on Debian/Sid
Hello, probably Debian/unstable isn't supported but if someone could be so kind to give an help I'd be really happy and that would be very likely useful for the next stable release too. The error is: libabi/src/ossl_ec.c: In function ‘OSSL_ECDSA_do_verify_rs’: libabi/src/ossl_ec.c:204:15: error: sto...

Re: will someone help a newb install MakeMKV on Ubuntu 14.04
I think you are doing it wrong. MakeMKV let's you either rip your BD's or stream your BD to a player, like VLC. If you want to play a BD directly from VLC you need to follow some guides (like this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/BluRay ), but you will find yourself in a dead-end as soon as your...

Re: Play 3D MVC MKV on Linux - most recent and best way to d
Until today I've tried everything to play 3D MVC in Linux, and for everything I mean almost every kind of combination between softwares, drivers, video API and video cards(Intel/AMD) mpv and vlc (Debian's smplayer seems buggy) can be hardware accelerated with vdpau and vaapi on radeon or with vaapi ...

Hmm, I'm helping you from Debian that's quite similar to Ubuntu. Try to install libexpat1-dev.
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install libexpat1-dev

Re: Play 3D MVC MKV on Linux - most recent and best way to d
I would like to know if the recent updates to Intel Graphic Stack https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/2014/2014q3-intel-graphics-stack-release will allow playing 3D MVC mkv with vlc on Intel HD graphics cards, like it is on nvidia cards as stated above. It would be really great because linux user...

Have you tried the usual steps?
If something is blocking your system try:
might be a wrongly installed package.
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install build-essential pkg-config libc6-dev libssl-dev libexpat1-dev libavcodec-dev libgl1-mesa-dev libqt4-dev
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get -f install

A stereoscopic player able to read Makemkv 3D ripped movies
Hi to everybody I'm here to kindly ask for some hints before spending a lot of money in something that could not work the way I'm thinking it. I have tried the Linux version of Makemkv and ripped some of my bluray 3D movies which work well in 2D, but I don't know how they are going to perform in 3D,...
