Re: Purchase Page Down
For anyone panicking, there is a new beta key good through July 2026. The payment system still isn't working, so hopefully that gets worked out.

Re: MakeMKV for Windows on ARM
It apparently works well through emulation. Reddit post here said it was faster than his x86 machine, but I'm sure that was probably due to the disc being a smaller rip. https://www.reddit.com/r/ARMWindows/comments/1ajzfa4/makemkv_and_sd_7c/ Not exactly a scientific comparison. Let us know how it wo...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023
Yeah the dbk does not do UHD but I can make it read them email me when you get it I have a 212DBK and as they are not a BDXL drive, even when flashed, the DBK won't read triple layer discs. EDIT: I had mine CF with BDR-S12UHT firmware and would not rip any TL UHD discs. I have since CF to BDR-212JB...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023
I might need to do that. I think I was confused on the model numbers thinking all the 212 models were basically the same, but this one appears to be a DBK model and not the UBK model. It was fairly cheap though, and the seller confirmed it is the 1.0 firmware which is well before 12/22. EDIT: The m...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023
Just making sure, a Pioneer BDR-212 built in 2019 with original 1.0 firmware should be a workable unit for UHD discs? Is there any advantage of upgrading it to one of the pre-12/2022 firmwares? No major advantage long as it's a UHD model it should work and if it's not you can email me for a cross f...

LG WH16NS40 vs WH14NS40?
My old LG BD burner from ~2011 works fine, but I'm thinking about replacing it for extra read speed and also just because its old...I also was wondering about the ability to rip BD UHD discs since I just finally got a 4k TV, which brought me to this subforum (great info by the way, thanks Billycar11...

Thanks for posting. The Java obfuscation thing didn't even try to figure out which playlist was correct.

Re: Manchester By The Sea
Thanks guys. For some reason, MakeMKV (1.10.4 ) didn't flag the FPL_Main Playlist on this disc for me. It worked great on Hacksaw Ridge and Moonlight, but it didn't even open Java for this disc. Not sure why.

Re: Moonlight Correct Playlist
Make sure you have 64-bit Java installed. If you do, MakeMKV will tell you that 865.mpls is the FPL_Main Feature for the redbox version.
I'm not sure if that is correct or not, but it is at least trying to determine.

Re: Multiple playlist for "The Lobster"
The main playlist selected by MakeMKV 1.10.0 for "The Lobster" is wrong. I realize the playlist its selecting isn't the correct one, but how do you even see which one it thinks is correct? When I open the disc, none of the playlists are marked or preselected or anything to indicate its gu...

Re: Multiple playlist for "The Lobster"
According to AnyDVD, the playlist for the Red disc is 620. MakeMKV selected 591. Not sure about other versions. I have ripped both, but haven't tested either yet.
