Re: Contacting MakeMKV
Thanks. I’m guessing Mike is a busy guy, so I’ll just be patient.

Contacting MakeMKV
I sent an email to support@makemkv.com early this week concerning a license issue. So far I’ve received no response.
Is there an individual I need to email about license restoration, or some other email address I should use?

Re: Why does MakeMKV say that AnyDVD is enabled when AnyDVD is not running?
MakeMKV starts with a cursory scan of your ISO, and if it finds an ANY! folder or a disc.inf file it assumes that AnyDVD was involved. Extract the files from the ISO (or use a tool like ISOBuster) and delete that folder and file.

Re: 1 MKV File vs Many Files?
You can use MKVToolNix to append each .mkv file to the previous one. You could do it in the GUI, but it's faster using mkvmerge from the command line. Documentation is in the Help file.

Re: Plex on Fire TV Stick 4K - DV or not?
Well, half-way successful. After changing to "adaptive", the HDR flag appears on my TV, but not the Dolby Vision one. The DV appears when I stream a DV source, so I suspect its a Plex player shortcoming.

Re: Plex on Fire TV Stick 4K - DV or not?
I wonder if it's an issue with the Fire TV Plex app and my TV. It's a TCL Series 6, the 2018 model.
There's a huge visual difference between playback on the Plex app on my TV and the one on the Fire TV stick.

Plex on Fire TV Stick 4K - DV or not?
I just installed a Fire TV Stick 4K, along with the Plex app. When I play a DV .mkv movie in Plex, it looks great on my DV-supported TV. However, playback does not trigger either the "HDR" or "Dolby Vision" flags on my TV. HDR movies without DV don't trigger the flag either. In o...

1.15.3 - Every ripped movie MKV has "AV synchronization issues"
Title says it all. I've been ripping quite a few Blu-rays from my hard drive, converting them to MKVs. Every single main movie file has the message "AV synchronization issues were found in file [filename.mkv]." The movies all play correctly, BTW. I don't know if the error message occurrenc...

It also rewards the devs for their fine work so far, and helps support continued development.
In other words, it's the right thing to do!

Minor feature request: "Pause" button
Very occasionally, ripping a large BD and doing multi-tasking on my PC, I'd like to pause the write phase without cancelling and starting over.
Again, not terribly important but would be nice if it's easy to implement.

Re: Best way to move MakeMKV to another drive?
Well, for whatever reason, moving the MakeMKV application allows me to rip the title with no slowdown. It was a very big title, over 40GB, and it would bog down at around 34GB read.

Re: Best way to move MakeMKV to another drive?
Fair enough... I still doubt it'll matter, but if your key is not written down, you can recover it from the current install buy accessing Help > Register & copy/pasting current key to a safe location. Then you can uninstall/reinstall/re-register anywhere you wish. Thanks. That's the answer I wa...

Re: Best way to move MakeMKV to another drive?
Pretty sure moving the app itself will not change anything, but you could try changing where MakeMKV output is written? Options > Video tab > Default destination > SemiAuto & set an alternate output path (to the other drive). Thanks, but I'm already using an alternate path for output. Still hav...

Best way to move MakeMKV to another drive?
My C: drive is an M.2 NVMe SSD, and I think it's throttling from the heat when I convert a very large Blu-ray. I have another drive I'd like to move MakeMKV to, but it's a licensed copy and I'm not sure how to do it and retain the license info.
Any advice?
