Can individual discs be riplocked?
My drive does not have riplock and I've acheived speeds as high as 8x while ripping before but some blu-ray's won't go higher than 2x regardless. Most recently trying to rip Star Wars episode 4, and it's taking it's time ripping at 2x. Do some discs just have riplock built in or something?

Transformers Age of Instinction shrinking down file size
So I just ripped Transformers Age of Instinction with make mkv and the file size was 28gb which is around normal. Should NORMALLY translate to around 3gb for handbrake except this time that's not the case. I turned RF up to 23 and only selected dolby digital 5.1 as the only audio track and still end...

Re: Cars 2 DVD won't copy (Title 15-1 not listed)
I'm still confused. I open the disc up and there's 6 titles, none of which contain the movie. I've ripped all 6, what am I missing here? Only think I am noticing is it's saying Title #96 declared length is 3:03:25 while its real length is 0:00:00 - assuming fake title

Re: Is there a way to turn on the read speed?
Anyone know if ahci can cause system instability? I can't run handbrake now without locking up the PC. Only difference is ahci mode enabled. Motherboard is Asrock 970 extreme4 if that helps

Wow thanks so much for that. I actually meant to google that earlier today and forgot about it. Awesome!

Re: Is there a way to turn on the read speed?
Fixed it, for whatever reason it was showing 2 blu-ray drives in my computer, and showing my blu-ray burner and a scsi cd-rom drive as the second drive in device manager. I disabled the drive that didn't exist, and that seemed to be the source of the slow ripping because it's now ripping at 5x and t...

Re: Is there a way to turn on the read speed?
My PC isn't the fastest machine available but its no slouch and pretty up to date. Its a phenom II six core with 8 gig of DDR3. Motherboard is about 2 years old, but still pretty up to date, has Sata 6gb/s, ddr3. I pretty much beefed up my PC in 2011 to play battlefield 3. Anyway the bluray drive is...

Is there a way to turn on the read speed?
I have a LG WH14NS40 Blur-ray burner, and from what I can tell everyone claims its not riplocked, however ripping movies with makemkv takes hours, because it's only reading at 2x. I can't find an option to turn up the read speed anywhere. I got this drive for christmas so I'm fairly new to the blu-r...
