Observation on forced titles for Spectre
Lately I've been learning tons regarding subtitles, especially regarding forced subtitles. From my understanding, there are three types of forced subtitles: 1) Forced subtitles that are part of a separate subtitle track - MakeMKV extracts the subtitle track as a whole but doesn't automatically detec...

Re: deselect all tracks that have NO audio?
If my understanding is correct, rules only select/deselect tracks under titles. They don't select/deselect the titles themselves. I have actually put in a feature request to add rules for titles: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=38666&p=178743#p178743 I added your request...

Re: [Feature Request/Bug] Font Size Scaling - Font Size Too Small
Try the following solution. It fixed the problem for me (using Windows 11):

Note that the original article is no longer live (although the website is) so I had to pull it from the Internet archive.

Feature request: Add rules for Titles
I have a feature request (I don't think it's currently possible). When Java is properly integrated with MakeMKV, each title has a descriptive name, for example, "MainFeature". Similar to track selection rules, I would like a feature where I can automatically select/deselect titles based on...

Re: Best software to create ISO file from full disk backup
Now, I tried to use "Image Burn" to create the ISO files. It does this successfully, BUT it removes my option to MOUNT the ISO file from my right-click menu. I'm using Windows 11. That's a FAIL. Not sure where this is going wrong for you. I use this same exact process in Windows 11 and th...

Re: HELP NEEDED - How to RIP from files copied to hard drive
If I understand correctly what you did, the two files you copied using Windows Explorer are still encrypted which is why they don't play.

Selection for native language for a disc
Sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find an answer. Using track selection rules, is there a way to automatically select the native language for the disc? For example, say in my track selection rules I have it set to only select English. However, say a certain disc is in Italian (for...

Re: .mkv Remux vs. BluRay Playback
It's just your perception. It's literally a bit-by-bit direct copy. There is no difference between what is on disc and the MKV file.

Re: Another dumb question
I have an interesting update. I decided to compare apples to apples, so instead of viewing the information through DVD Decrypter, I decided to view the information in VLC. For point of reference, I am using VLC in Windows, and getting the information from the log/messages window. Here is what I foun...

Re: Another dumb question
One other comment - my comments are strictly for DVDs, which seem to be the ones mostly impacted by region coding. I don't know if you did your tests with a Blu-Ray or 4K Blu-Ray. It seems like the industry has learned that region coding doesn't make sense anymore so most 4K Blu-Rays aren't region l...

Re: Another dumb question
Not sure about your tests. Today I ripped a DVD that had RCE (region) protection with MakeMKV. The regions on the original DVD were 1 and 4, as seen in the following screenshots from DVD Decrypter: https://i.imgur.com/NWT8slq.png DVD Decrypter also asks me to select a region when I insert the origin...

Re: Another dumb question
FYI I just read up on RCE (region code enhanced) protection vs just RC (region protection) protection and it looks like RCE protection adds an additional layer in a case where you are using a region-free or multi-region player. I guess it prohibits playing the disc on a region free or multi-region p...
