Re: How to Rip Sing-A-Long Edition
Thanks for the info. Yeah so I just ripped the whole disc and after viewing all files, the sing along tracks are all divided into 1 file per song. Which leaves me confused When you say 1 file per song, do you mean they are individual MKV files that were created after you ripped the disc? Also what ...

Re: How to Rip Sing-A-Long Edition
FYI my comments were mainly regarding movies that have the sing-a-long track as a subtitle track. For movies where the sing-a-long titles are embedded in the video, it will usually just be a different playlist. When you open the movie in MakeMKV, you should see different variations of the movie. The...

Re: How to Rip Sing-A-Long Edition
It depends. On some discs, the sing a long titles are burned into the video so there's no way to extract them as a separate track. The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-a-long version bl-day is a good example of this. For other titles, its just one of the subtitle tracks. Playing the movie in VLC and ...

Re: Best software to create ISO file from full disk backup
You can change it to always show you the full menu. Yes that is also true, but there's nothing in the Windows GUI that exposes that option. You have to either modify the registry or use a 3rd party utility to get that option. This is something that most people will not have done. The whole point of...

Re: Feature request: Add rules for Titles
I see that, thanks. I would suspect that it’s probably relying on Java to match the list with the corresponding titles. Yeah, that is what I also suspect. I wasn't aware of the TheDiscDB site. I just took a look at the site and for this particular disc, the names don't match what I see in MakeMKV. ...

Re: Feature request: Add rules for Titles
I can’t see the images you uploaded, but I have tested this with my own discs. Those descriptions have only ever appeared for movies that are listed in DiscDB, never for any movie that hasn’t been added there yet. Sorry I have fixed the images. My tests indicate otherwise, unless it is relying on J...

Re: Feature request: Add rules for Titles
I don’t think that those descriptions rely on Java per se, but they instead rely on the disk being listed on The Disc DB, which requires a previous user to have ripped that disc and submitted the information to the relevant GitHub repo. I am pretty sure this funtionality relies on Java. To verify, ...

Re: Best software to create ISO file from full disk backup
If "Mount" isn't available in the context menu, it means .iso isn't associated with Windows File Explorer. Yes, that is true. However, Windows 11 has a "simplified" context menu that shows you a menu with minimal "most frequently used" options. If you want to see "...

There are docker images that basically run ImgBurn via Wine:

I personally like the second one a bit more.

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Yeah sorry. I hadn't updated my KEYDB.cfg file so MakeMKV was thinking it wasn't available yet. Once I updated it, MakeMKV was able to process it.keydb_helper wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 3:17 am
Hey imacmike and Rojma, support for your Better Off Dead disc was added to the public keydb on July 30.

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Thanks a lot for your reply! I’ll definitely keep an eye on this thread and the link you shared. That said, would you happen to know what kind of wording or keywords might typically be used when such updates are announced? Even if it's just a rough idea (like the model name, version number, etc.), ...

Observation on forced titles for Spectre
Lately I've been learning tons regarding subtitles, especially regarding forced subtitles. From my understanding, there are three types of forced subtitles: 1) Forced subtitles that are part of a separate subtitle track - MakeMKV extracts the subtitle track as a whole but doesn't automatically detec...

Re: deselect all tracks that have NO audio?
If my understanding is correct, rules only select/deselect tracks under titles. They don't select/deselect the titles themselves. I have actually put in a feature request to add rules for titles: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=38666&p=178743#p178743 I added your request...
