Ubuntu 12.10 may still be supported by Canonical and blueprint devs, but not nessarly by everyone else. Try updating the latest version of Ubuntu (13.10) and try again as 12.10 still shipped with kernel 3.5. I have ran in Arch and Gentoo with no issues as well as Ubuntu 13.04 I may try that, but I ...
