I used strace to log the data transmitted via ioctls. I did this while in Fedora and again while in ubuntu. I am using kernel 3.12.5-200.fc19. I downgraded my glibc to 2.17-11.fc19 (I was using 2.17-20.fc19). I even recompiled/reinstalled the makemkv-oss component.
