So, does Slysoft shutting down affect MakeMKV or not? What makes you think MakeMKV relies on Slysoft in any way? Its a long standing suspicion that the team of developers at Slysoft were the point of the spear when it comes to Blu-ray decryption. I believe there is even advice around here that stat...

Any decryption program for movies can and will be targeted. The more interesting part of this discussion is how Slysoft shutting down affects MakeMKV. If MakeMKV relies on the AnyDVD HD online database in any manner (the program itself or the developers), then that resource may not be around for muc...

I don't suppose you have an interlaced BD you could throw at it? I'd like to see how polished the program is. I'd think Mike would be insulted it uses FFMPEG to encode the aac audio rather than MakeMKV itself. I'm a bit confuse though, are you saying it uses DivX h265 or x265, or are they the same ...

I too would like some clarification on this subject. The program is being discussed over at MyCE, and I'd like to know from the MakeMKV developers if these guys actually have permission to use MakeMKV as their decrypter.

At the very least, the developers of this software should switch to a new domain, away from their .com address.

DVDFab has moved to a .cn website, and should have been prepared for that move beforehand. They were caught with their pants down. AnyDVD already has an alternate: http://slysoft.ag/en/
