Re: La La Land
Hopefully everyone has sorted this out already, but I just got up the retail disc of this today, and using THIS method, came up with 620 for the RETAIL copy. Unfortunately, it was a gift, so I don't know where they bought it. Hopefully it is current at 620.mpls since that is what PowerDVD 15 plays b...

Works fine for me. I have several blu-ray discs that I've ripped that have both DTS:X on the disc AND in the MKV file made with MakeMKV. No issues at all in fact.

Re: Independence Day Resurgence - BD+ code processed but no
Yeah, I just wasn't sure. I have the blu-ray in my suitcase, and didn't know if I would be able to rip it when I get home in a couple of hours, or if I will end up fiddling around with it to get it to rip, or if I should just toss the blu-ray into the player and rip it at a later date... I guess I w...

Re: Independence Day Resurgence - BD+ code processed but no
So is this movie supported now? Sounds like it is. I have been out of town for a couple of weeks, and am just wondering if MakeMKV now works with this blu-ray...

Yes, the free beta key expired tonight...
...no, nobody has a new one yet.... Yes, one will get published officially here in the News section... No, it probably won't be in a day or two. Just trying to proactively answer all of the questions before they come up, but I am sure that someone will come here all worked up stating "I was jus...

Re: Why do blurays have more than one version of film on it?
All true. Don't forget that some studios to load up their discs with hundreds of playlists just to throw off people and programs to make it harder to select the right file (although there are methods to figuring that out too).

Re: Sicario (2105) - Which playlist
For those wondering, the retail version (with Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and Atmos instead of the rental Dolby Digital 5.1) is super easy. Only one came up to choose from... Lionsgate must know that most of their piracy copies come from rentals so they 1) knock down the audio a couple of notches, 2) give a ba...

Re: Sicario (2105) - Which playlist
Finally talked to someone that I know that saw this. Based off of their recommendation and knowing the types of movies they like, I picked up the retail from Wallyworld for $20. I will rip it tonight and if I see any difference in playlist, I will let you all know. Just upgraded to PowerDVD 15 last ...

Re: Sicario (2105) - Which playlist
Thanks for the heads up. Now to figure out if I want to buy it while it is $20 so that I get the TrueHD/Atmos sound, or just rent is as I don't actually know anyone that has seen this movie to know if it justifies the $20 price tag. I know that it got good reviews, but so have a few other movies in ...

Re: Sicario (2105) - Which playlist
Is it true that all rental versions (Redbox, Netflix, Family Video, etc) are just Dolby Digital 5.1 and not Dolby TrueHD 7.1 / Atmos? I saw some screenshots at another site (that also was saying 945 was the right playlist for all known versions) but they also showed just DD 5.1 for the English audio...

Re: Sicario (2105) - Which playlist
I downloaded a trial version of PowerDVD 15 Ultra and the monitor tool. I wasn't able to get the source file to appear but I was able to get the m2ts file to show up. I wrote them all down in order (fast fowarded through the movie) and the only one that matched was the aforementioned 945.mpls sourc...

Did you try this method?

I don't have the movie (yet) otherwise I would help you with the retail copy, but I've used the steps in that video in the past with reasonably good results.

Re: Trouble with 3 titles
3:10 to Yuma worked perfectly fine for me back a couple of years ago when I ripped it from blu-ray. Not a single issue. I know that doesn't help you out much, but I wanted to at least let you know that this movie in particular should not give you any issues. I agree that getting a 2nd player to try ...
