Re: Flash Gordon 40th Anniversary 4K (Studio Canal)
It worked after I put the LG firmware on my Asus drive, ripped with zero errors, I put the Asus firmware back on after ripping it and haven't had any more problems. The firmware I used was WH16NS60. My drive is the ASUS BW-16D1HT.

Re: [US] Full Metal Jacket - BestBuy UHD
Weird, it read from a 7200RPM hard drive to an NVME SSD and it finally completed successfully. There was 1 warning during the operation that it was reading faster than could write which considering that it was going to an NVME SSD seems absurd. I wonder if this UHD simply has a higher bitrate than a...

Re: [US] Full Metal Jacket - BestBuy UHD
Over 3TB's free but it's an external drive, I've backed up 2 other 4K discs to the same drive tonight without error but I'll try writing to an internal drive just in case.

[US] Full Metal Jacket - BestBuy UHD
I am receiving a write protect error while trying to save the MKV. I tried from the disc and I tried backing it up to hard drive first. The backup was successful without decrypting. I am not getting the typical error regarding a hash key not being known though and so it isn't generating a file to up...

Re: Forbidden Planet Blu-Ray Audio Problem
If you play the file you ripped in VLC does anything appear for audio in the Tools menu > Codec Information? Normally Stream 0 will be the Video and Stream 1 will be the Audio. Perhaps it's just in a format your computer can't play without a codec installed..

Re: If you're experiencing rip errors, please read here first!
After running into SCSI Errors and other issues on a number of perfectly clean discs I tried changing the firmware on my Asus drive to the latest LG firmware and now those discs are reading perfectly fine. It seems the Asus firmware is missing something or not supporting something as well as the LG....

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT
I have the same drive and was having a problem with the latest Flash Gordon 4K causing that issue, cross-flashed to the WH16NS60 firmware and it's working fine now. In the firmware pack the file is in: ...\MK\HL-DT-ST\WH16NS60\.
I think I was on firmware 3.10 though..

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020
Thank you to the previous posts about cross-flashing Asus to LG, I flashed my Asus BW-16D1HT to the WH16NS60 firmware and a previously unreadable Flash Gordon 4K is ripping without issue. Before that it was killing my drive requiring it to be re-flashed just to get it working again. Anyone know why ...
