I rebuild openssl 1:1.0.1e-4.fc19 for fedora 20 and was able open bluray disc again using makemkv. I later upgraded openssl and makemkv still works.

I have Fedora 19 system updated in august. I have installed latest glibc, kernel and nvidia. I am still able to open bluray disc. What packages beside glibc and kernel affects scsi commands.

I am able top open bluray disc with kernel-3.12.5-200.fc19.x86_64. and glibc glibc-2.17-11.fc19.x86_64 on system with X86_64.

I am able to get makemkv to work with glibc-2.17-11.fc19.x86_64 and kernel-3.10.3-300.fc19.x86_64 in Fedora. I will now try to upgrade the kernel by not glibc.

Still present kernel-3.12.5-302.fc20.x86_64. I have filed this bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1042715 in bugzilla.

HI I had the same trouble with Fedora 19. I was unable to open any disc. But when I moved the usb driver to pc with ubuntu 13.10 I was able to open the bluray disc with makemkv linux. Can you post which linux kernel you are using. rpm -q kernel. I have the same problem and filled a bug at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1042715
